Admission Notification for M.Sc. Technology Courses (SKIMS)

Applications are invited from the candidates belonging to UTs of J&K/Ladakh who are eligible and desirous of admission to M.Sc. Technology Courses (SKIMS) 2023 through Offline mode. The selection of the candidates shall be governed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002 and Rules & Regulations made thereunder, SRO 505 of 2019 dated 20.08.2019 read with SRO 640 of 2019 dated 24.10.2019, J&K Reservation Act, 2004 as amended vide J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, S.O 127 dated 20-04-2020, S.O 249 dated 23.07.2021, S.O 277 dated: 13.08.2021, and subject to further amendments, if any, made by the Competent Authority/Government.

Eligibility for candidates: Any candidate applying for this course must: a) be a Domicile of UT of J&K/Ladakh. b) have the Minimum eligibility required for M.Sc. Technology Degree Courses as mentioned below:

Submission of Application Forms:

The interested candidates are required to submit the Application Form physically at BOPEE office Jammu/Srinagar (on working days only) along with the following self-attested certificates from 13-07-2023 to 27-07-2023 (04.00 P.M):

(i) Domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (For Candidates of UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by the competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile Certificate). (ii) Desired qualifying marks card of the courses passed, which are required by the candidate(s) to be eligible for these courses. (iii) Date of Birth (10th class Marks card/Diploma issued by the Board) (iv) Experience/work Certificate wherever required. (v) Valid Reserved category certificate, if any. (vi) Fee of Rs.1500/= to be paid through POS Machine available at the BOPEE office Jammu/Srinagar through Debit/Credit card.

The Application Form shall be available at BOPEE office Jammu/Srinagar and also annexed as Annexure-A to this Notification, which can be loaded from the official website www.jkbopee.gov.in.

However, it is for the information of all concerned that afore-titled documents as required for the submission of the application form shall be considered provisional and subject to change(s) vide any order as may be issued subsequently.

Note: The eligibility is bare minimum/provisional and shall be subject to such changes/benchmarks as may be fixed by the concerned University/Competent Authority. The Board shall, on receipt of any such communication from the concerned Authority/University, notify the same, which shall govern the eligibility criteria.

Instructions: a) No under-process certificate will be accepted/entertained. b) Original Documents as mentioned above are required to be submitted in the concerned Institution at the time of Admission, if provisionally selected. c) The Sports Category candidates have to indicate their sports category on the Application Form. They are also advised to submit their Sports Certificate(s) in the office of J&K Sports Council as and when notified by the Secretary, J&K Sports council for determining their sports points which shall be forwarded to the J&K BOPEE officially by the council. The BOPEE, however, shall not be responsible for non-inclusion of any candidate in the sports list forwarded by the Sports Council to the BOPEE.

Mode of Selection/Admission: Pursuant to Notification No. 002–BOPEE of 2016 Dated 27-01-2016, the Board shall make the selection of eligible candidates for these courses as per the provisions of Regulation 10 (1) of J&K BOPEE Regulations 2016. In case two or more candidates having secured equal Marks in the Entrance Test, then their tie shall be resolved by considering their D.O.B (Candidate older in age shall be preferred 1st), and in case of further tie, the 1st alphabet of the name of the candidate shall be taken into account for selection.

Note: I) Mere submission of the Application Form shall not confer any preferential right/claim for admission upon the intending applicants, but shall be subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria and the qualification prescribed for the said courses during the process of counseling/admission. II) The Board has the right to reject any application form at any stage if found false/fabricated, without issuing any notice to the candidate concerned. III) The Board has the right to make any change at any point in time in the process of selection for such courses if need be.
