Subject: Cancellation of Withheld Recommendations - Final Selection List-cum-Allocation of Cadres & Departments for remaining Class-IV Posts

Dear Candidates,

We hope this message finds you in good health. This communication pertains to the Final Selection List-cum-Allocation of Cadres & Departments for the remaining Class-IV Posts under the provisions of the Jammu & Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules, 2020, advertised via Notification No. 01 of 2020 dated 26.06.2020.

As you are aware, the Final Selection List for 3422 Class-IV posts, under Phase II, in District/Divisional/Union Territory Cadres, advertised via Notification No. 01 of 2020 dated 04.06.2020, was duly notified by the Board vide Notification No. SSB/Secy/Sel/Class-IV/2021/6202-09 dated 06.10.2022, and subsequently forwarded to the General Administration Department.

During the selection process, it was observed that the recommendation of various candidates was kept withheld, subject to clarification regarding their maximum qualification. The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) issued a Notice, vide No. SSB/Secy/Sel/Class- IV/2021/6469-76 dated 22.11.2022, to 269 such candidates whose recommendations were withheld due to this qualification clarification. These candidates were advised to submit the necessary documents as proof, along with an Undertaking.

Regrettably, out of these 269 candidates, the Board received documents/affidavit in respect of only 209 candidates, while 60 candidates chose not to avail the opportunity. The matter was then presented before the Board during its 232nd meeting, which deliberated upon the remaining pending cases in the selection. It was decided to afford a final opportunity to the 60 candidates who had failed to represent before the Board during the earlier stipulated timeline.

In accordance with this decision, JKSSB issued another Notice, vide No. JKSSB-ADM/29/2023-03 (7293450) dated 04.10.2023, to these 60 candidates, affording them a Final Opportunity to submit the necessary documents as proof, along with an undertaking, with regard to their withheld recommendations within three (03) days from 09.10.2023 to 11.10.2023. It was explicitly mentioned that no further claim or representation would be entertained beyond this deadline.

However, despite the extension and multiple opportunities provided, 54 candidates have failed to submit any document(s) within the specified timeline. Consequently, the matter was placed before the Board in its 241st meeting, which has decided to cancel the withheld recommendations of these 54 candidates.

Hence, we regret to inform you that, in view of the above, the withheld recommendation for the following candidates for the post of Class-IV, advertised via Notification No. 01 of 2020 dated 26.06.2020, is hereby canceled:

Please note that the decision to cancel these withheld recommendations is final and binding. We understand that this may be a disappointing outcome for some, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation throughout the process.
