If so, we invite you to join our dynamic team at the Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences, Central University of Jammu. We are currently seeking Research Associates (RA) to contribute to cutting-edge research in these fields.

Position Details:

• Number of Positions: Two (02)
• Nature of Post: Temporary (up to 3 years)
• Stipend: Rs. 58,000/- per month + HRA (as per CU Jammu norms)

Essential Qualifications:

RA-02 Research Associate (Image Processing):

• B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in ECE or Computer Science and Engg.
• Focus on remote sensing and GIS applications and one of the following disciplines: Natural resources mapping and management, Land Use Land Cover mapping, Land degradation mapping, spatio-temporal modeling using Remote Sensing data.
• OR having 3 years of research, teaching, and design and development experience after M.E./M.Tech. with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

RA-03 Research Associate (Artificial Intelligence for Space Applications):

• B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in ECE or Computer Science and Engg., or other allied branches of Electronics Engineering/ Artificial Intelligence/ Image processing/Space Sciences /Avionics/ Computer Science or equivalent streams related to Machine Learning.
• OR having 3 years of research, teaching, and design and development experience after M.E./M.Tech. with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Research Associate, you will:

• Propose and develop models and algorithms (Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc.) to meet project demands.
• Work closely with project stakeholders.
• Shape research directions and produce results.
• Attract funding in cooperation with industrial partners.
• Participate in proposal writing.
• Coordinate research projects and deliver outputs.
• Disseminate results through scientific publications.
• Provide guidance to PhD and MSc students.
• Participate in teaching activities.
• Provide support in setting up and running experiments in the SnT Computer Vision laboratory.
