Central University of Jammu - Ph.D. Programme Admission 2023-24

Online applications are open for admission to the Ph.D. degree programme at the Central University of Jammu for the academic session 2023-24. We invite eligible candidates, specifically under the exempted category (for NET/JRF/GATE candidates), to apply.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidates must possess:

   • A 1-year/2-semester master's degree after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree after a 3-year bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualifications recognized by the corresponding statutory regulatory body.
   • For Engineering departments, a first-class degree with 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels is required.
   • Equivalent qualifications from accredited foreign educational institutions are also accepted.

2. Relaxation of 5% marks is available for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and other eligible categories as per Commission decisions.

Mode of Selection:

Qualified candidates in the JRF/NET/GATE examinations are eligible to apply. Selection criteria are based on a composite of marks and interview performance.

Reservation of Seats:

The University adheres to GOI reservation policies for SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled candidates.

• UR/OBC-(NCL)/EWS: Rs. 1000/-
• ST/SC/PWD: Rs. 500/-
