Subject: Manpower Required for Hospital Based Cancer Registry on Contractual Basis Consolidated Remuneration in Government Medical College, Jammu

Government Medical College, Jammu, in collaboration with the Regional Cancer Centre and the Department of Community Medicine (P&SM), is seeking applications on plain paper for the recruitment of Research Scientist-I (Medical) on a contractual basis for the National Centre For Disease Informatics and Research, National Cancer Registry Programme (Indian Council of Medical Research) in the Regional Cancer Centre/Community Medicine (P&SM) at Govt. Medical College, Jammu.

Position: Research Scientist-I (Medical) Project: Hospital Based Cancer Registry Contractual Basis: Consolidated Remuneration

Eligibility:

a) Essential Qualification:

• Candidates must possess an MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) from a recognized university.
• A postgraduate MD/MS degree in Medicine/Surgery/P&SM/Pathology/Radiotherapy/Biochemistry/Pharmacology from a recognized university.

b) Desirable Qualifications:

(i) Additional Post-Doctoral Research/Teaching experience in the relevant subjects in recognized institutes.

(ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.

c) Job Requirements:

• Development of research and training programs.
• Planning and conducting research on various aspects of Cancer.
• Assisting the Principal Investigator.
• Collaborating with other scientists to conduct research in thrust areas.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for the position of Research Scientist-I is 35 years.

Remuneration: The selected candidate will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs 66,250 per month.

Application Procedure: Interested candidates are required to submit their applications, along with all requisite documents, to the office of Prof. & Head, Department of Community Medicine (P&SM), Govt. Medical College, Jammu, on or before 20-06-2023.

Terms & Conditions:

1. No travel allowance (TA) or daily allowance (DA) will be provided for attending the interview.
2. The Principal Investigator reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason, and no correspondence/recommendation will be entertained in this matter.
3. Qualifications and experience should be in the relevant discipline/field and obtained from a reputed institution/organization recognized by the relevant authority.
4. Experience will be counted from the date of completion of the minimum educational qualification.
5. Providing incorrect or false information during the personal discussion process will lead to disqualification at any stage.
6. Benefits such as provident fund, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim, etc., will not be considered since the posts are purely temporary.
7. The above posts are filled on a purely temporary basis, co-terminus with the project, and the candidate will have no right to claim permanent employment under NCDIR/NCRP/ICMR or continuation of services in any other project.
8. Candidates appearing for the interview/personal discussion must bring all original certificates. Failure to bring the original certificates at the time of the interview will result in disqualification.
9. The date of the interview will be displayed on the GMC website (www.gmcjammu.nic.in). Individual call letters will not be sent.
