Invitation to Challenge Provisional Answer Key(s) and Question Paper with Recorded Responses for UGC-NET December 2023

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the UGC-NET December 2023 examination across 292 cities, encompassing 83 subjects and engaging 9,45,918 candidates from December 6th to December 19th, 2023.

The provisional Answer Key(s) alongside the Question Paper containing Recorded Responses are now accessible on our website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/ for candidates to review and challenge. The process to challenge the Answer Key(s) is detailed in Annexure – II.

Candidates unsatisfied with the Answer Key(s) may challenge them by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200/- per question challenged. Please note the following dates and details:

  • Duration for Answer Key Challenge: From January 3rd, 2024 (from 06:00 p.m.) to January 5th, 2024 (up to 11:50 p.m.)
  • Last Date for Payment: January 5th, 2024 (up to 11:50 p.m.)

Payments can be made via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI Payment Modes until January 5th, 2024 (up to 11:50 p.m.). Challenges submitted without the processing fee receipt will not be entertained. The only accepted mode for challenges is through the mentioned process on the website.

Verified challenges by candidates will be assessed by subject experts. Correct challenges will result in the revision of the Answer Key(s), impacting all candidates' responses. Subsequently, the revised Final Answer Key will be used for result preparation and declaration. Individual communication about challenge acceptance/non-acceptance will not be provided. How to download the UGC NET answer key

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) or the UGC NET exam's specific website.

  2. Locate the 'Answer Key' Section: Look for the section that specifically mentions "Answer Key" or "Response Key." This is usually available on the homepage or under the section related to the UGC NET exam.

  3. Select the Exam Session and Paper: Identify and select the UGC NET exam session and the paper you appeared for. The UGC NET exam is conducted for various subjects and papers, so ensure you choose the correct one.

  4. Login or Access the Answer Key: After selecting the appropriate session and paper, you may need to log in using your credentials (like application number and password) or enter other details to access the answer key.

  5. Download the Answer Key: Once you've accessed the answer key, you'll usually find an option to download it. Click on the download button or link provided.

  6. Verify and Save: After downloading the answer key, it's crucial to verify that it corresponds to your exam session and paper code. Save the answer key to your device for future reference.

  7. Check and Compare: Use the downloaded answer key to check your answers against the officially provided answers. This can help you estimate your score before the results are officially declared.

  8. Challenging the Answer Key (if applicable): Sometimes, there might be discrepancies or questions about certain answers in the key provided by the exam authority. In such cases, there could be a provision for challenging or raising objections against specific answers.
