Advertisement for the Walk-in-Selection Process for IT Personnel

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is a premier autonomous organization in India, conceptualized to aid in the recruitment, assessment, and selection of personnel for various public sector banks. Established in 1975, it's an initiative by a consortium of Indian banks in association with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the country's central banking institution.

Successful candidates will be appointed against the existing vacancies. However, a wait list would also be maintained to fill up need-based requirements, which will remain valid for a period of six months.Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join IBPS for any of the above listed posts is required to appear for Walk-in-Selection Process. The schedule of Walk-in-Selection Process is as follows:

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Post: Analyst Programmer – Python

• Understand requirements and translate them into functional applications aligned with business objectives using Python.
• Design, create, and maintain applications using the Linux platform with the Python web development language (Django) and integrate them with DBMS (MySQL).
• Refactor or modify existing code structures to enhance efficiency, performance, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with peers to devise optimal solutions using Python in a Linux environment.
• Ensure error-free code adhering to best coding practices.
• Test, monitor, and enhance solutions via incremental updates, new features, or app optimizations.
• Identify bottlenecks and address performance issues.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Institute.

Post: Analyst Programmer – ASP.Net

• Interpret requirements and develop functional applications aligned with business objectives using ASP.Net.
• Develop, manage, and maintain applications using ASP.net, integrating them with DBMS (MsSQL).
• Refactor or modify existing code structures to improve efficiency, performance, and rectify issues.
• Collaborate to design optimal solutions using the .Net framework and Microsoft tech stack.
• Ensure error-free code following best coding practices.
• Test, monitor, and improve solutions via updates, new features, or optimizations.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Institute.

Post: IT Database Administrator

• Regulate data access permissions and privileges.
• Uphold data standards, including compliance with Data Protection regulations.
• Design and maintain efficient databases for software applications.
• Create comprehensive database documentation, including standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata).
• Develop, manage, and test backup & recovery plans.
• Ensure proper functioning of storage and archiving procedures.
• Collaborate with IT project managers, database programmers, and multimedia programmers.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Institute.

Post: Programming Assistant

• Manage the file system in the Unix platform, including file creation and modification via the 'vi' editor.
• Process data files through executable programs, generating required outputs on the Linux platform.
• Extract data from multiple Unix data files and generate reports in MS-Excel format as per requirements.
• Facilitate file transfer between servers or operating systems.
• Handle data using Excel and possess basic programming knowledge in FORTRAN/Python.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Institute.

Eligibility Criteria and Documentation

Please be advised that the mentioned eligibility criteria serve as the fundamental prerequisites. Candidates are obligated to present the pertinent documents in their original form along with three (03) sets of photocopies. These documents should validate their identity and eligibility concerning age, educational qualifications, work experience, etc., as explicitly indicated in the application form.

It's important to note that the act of applying for the aforementioned position, participating in the online examination, interview, or subsequent processes, does not guarantee employment with IBPS.

Selected candidates are required to submit a medical fitness certificate obtained from a civil surgeon or a doctor associated with LIC of India/PSBs. Additionally, a police verification report must be submitted mandatorily at the time of joining.
