IIT Jammu : Job Opening for Junior Research Fellow in "Powder Bed Fusion of Advanced Polymers for Dental Applications" Project 2023

IIT Jammu : Applications are now open for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the project titled "Powder bed fusion of Advanced polymers for dental applications". This project has been sanctioned by the Department of Science and Technology under the Technology Development Programme (TDP) in India.

•  Minimum Qualification:
  •  Essential Qualification:
    •  B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Materials/Manufacturing/Production) with 3 years’ experience or M.E/M.Tech (Mechanical/Materials/Manufacturing/Production) with at least First division (65% or 6.5 CGPA on 10 point scale) or equivalent at all levels starting from secondary education for essential qualifications.
  •  Essential qualification from a recognized technical institute/university as a full-time program.
  •  Preference may be given to the candidate having appropriate knowledge of additive manufacturing/ polymer science/polymer processing/biomedical applications
•  Desired Qualification:
  • 1. Knowledge of scientific investigation of new polymer materials using powder bed fusion process, material characterization techniques such as DSC, TGA, DMA and prior experience of additive manufacturing processing and post mortem-analysis is desirable.
•  Upper age limit : 30 years

Brief Objective of Project :
Selective laser sintering of advanced polymers. To understand the inter-layer and intra-layer consolidations. Subsequently, testing and analysis of microstructure, mechanical and biological testing.
Job Description :
The selected candidate is expected to work on the material synthesis and characterisation, laser sintering experimental investigation, post-mortem analysis such as microstructure, mechanical and biological properties.

4. Shortlisted candidates must present themselves for the interview on the interview date with an updated CV and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/certificates supporting their academic qualifications. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. The time of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates by e-mail. The interview will be held using the online platform.
5. Candidates who are already employed should produce a relieving certificate from their employers if selected.
6. The last date for receiving the duly filled-in application is 30th April, 2023, through an online portal.
7. The date of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates through email.
