Selection Procedure: The selection process involves several stages:
- (a) The Indian Navy reserves the right to set the cutoff for shortlisting applications based on the JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) - 2023.
- (b) Shortlisted candidates will be notified of their selection for the SSB interview via email and SMS.
- (c) The SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be conducted at Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, and Visakhapatnam from August 2023 onwards.
- (d) The merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks, and candidates declared medically fit will be appointed subject to police verification, character verification, and availability of vacancies.
Training: Selected candidates will undergo a four-year B.Tech course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering at the Indian Naval Academy. The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. Upon completion of the course, cadets will be awarded a B.Tech degree by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
