JKBOPEE M.Sc Nursing Admission 2023: Application,Eligibility, Notification

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) has recently released an official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates belonging to the domicile of  UT's of J&K/Ladakh for admission to M.Sc. Nursing Courses in the year 2023. Interested candidates can apply through the offline mode by submitting the application form along with the necessary documents before the specified deadline.

The selection process of the candidates will be governed by the jkbopee Act, 2002, and other relevant rules and regulations, including SRO 505 of 2019 dated 20-08-2019 and SRO 640 of 2019 dated 24-10-2019. Moreover, the selection process will also be subject to the JK Reservation Act, 2004, as amended vide J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, S.O 127 dated 20-04-2020, S.O 249 dated 23-07-2021, and other amendments made by the Competent Authority/Government from time to time.

The admission process for M.Sc. Nursing Courses is highly competitive, and candidates are advised to start their preparation well in advance. The JKBOPEE will conduct an entrance examination to shortlist the candidates for admission, and the final selection will be based on the merit list prepared on the basis of the candidates' performance in the entrance examination and other criteria as per the rules and regulations.

Eligibility :

It is important for the applicants to carefully go through the eligibility criteria and other guidelines mentioned in the official notification before filling the application form. The eligibility criteria include educational qualifications, age limit, and other requirements as per the norms of the JKBOPEE. Candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria will not be considered for admission.The applicants should possess a minimum of one year of work experience and should be registered nurses and registered midwives or equivalent with any State/UT Nursing Registration Council recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.

  • The eligibility criteria mentioned in the official notification for admission to M.Sc.   • It is important to note that under-process certificates will not be accepted or entertained. Original documents as mentioned in the notification must be submitted at the time of admission, if provisionally selected.
  • The selection and admission process will be based on the percentage of final year marks scored by candidates in the qualifying examination, as filled in by them in the application form, and the preferences filled during counseling. In the case of a tie between two or more candidates with the same marks, priority will be given to the candidate with an older date of birth. If there is still a tie, the first alphabet of the candidate's name will be taken into account for selection.
  • It is essential to note that mere submission of the application form and appearing for the entrance test does not confer any preferential right or claim for admission to the intending applicants. Admission will be subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria and qualifications prescribed for the course at the time of counseling.
  • Lastly, the Board reserves the right to select or reject any application form at any stage if found false or fabricated without issuing any notice to the candidate.
