Provisional Merit List (PML) of NEET MD/MS/PG Diploma & MDS Courses-2023 Candidates Belonging to the UT of J&K/Ladakh: Inviting Objections Thereof

The Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) is responsible for conducting the admissions process for various medical postgraduate courses in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. As per the NEET PG - 2023 result declared by the National Board of Examination (NBE), a tentative Roll No. wise list based on NEET data was published earlier through various notifications.

Here is a summary of the notifications and subsequent actions taken by the BOPEE:

  1. Notification No. 033-BOPEE of 2023 (Dated 20-06-2023): The tentative Roll No. wise list of qualified candidates for MD/MS/PG Diploma & MDS Courses-2023, based on NEET data received from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, was published. This list was made available for the concerned candidates to check their information.

  2. Notice No. 020-BOPEE of 2023 (Dated 08-07-2023): The list of candidates under the Sports Category along with their ranks for MD/MS/PGD & MDS courses-2023 was published. Candidates were given the opportunity to submit any objections they had within three days from the date of issuance. The Sports category lists were treated as final after addressing the received representations.

  3. Notification No. 038-BOPEE of 2023 (Dated 12-07-2023): Eligible candidates were advised to register and upload their documents on the BOPEE website (www.jkbopee.gov.in) for verification and updating of their category status from 14-07-2023 to 17-07-2023. This was done for the preparation of the Provisional UT Merit List (PML).

Based on the scrutiny of the registration forms and uploaded documents, certain observations were made:

a. Some candidates registered but had deficient documents. They were provisionally approved to participate in the Online Counseling process but were required to submit the deficient documents along with other relevant documents during the admission process. Failure to do so would result in the cancellation of their selection.

b. Candidates who uploaded a Difficult Area Certificate with a period of less than one year as on the cut-off date for online registration were considered under Open Merit. Those who did not upload the certificate or had an improperly issued certificate were also considered under Open Merit, provided they were eligible.

c. Candidates who filled CDP Category but uploaded old certificates were provisionally included in the PML. However, they were required to submit fresh CDP certificates with priority as per the prescribed format at the BOPEE office physically by or before 26th July 2023. Failure to do so would result in consideration under Open Merit, if eligible.

d. No document submission through email or WhatsApp was accepted.

e. Candidates who were granted admissions during the sessions 2020, 2021, and 2022 but left midway were debarred from registration in 2023 as per SRO 48 of 2018 dated 30-01-2018.

f. Candidates who uploaded PwD Certificates on their own were included provisionally in the PML. Their admission would be subject to the genuineness of their PwD certificate, ascertained by the respective College Authority as per MCI/NMC guidelines during or after the admission process. If found ineligible, their admission would be canceled.

The Provisional UT Merit List (PML) for NEET MD/MS/PG Diploma & MDS Courses-2023, containing the names of qualified candidates who registered online and uploaded all the requisite documents/category certificates, is published as Annexure A & B to this Notification. The list of candidates who applied under the Difficult Area category is also notified as Annexure 'C'.

Candidates who wish to make representations or objections regarding their position in the PML can do so until 26-07-2023 (till 02:00 p.m.) during working days. However, such representations must be submitted physically to the BOPEE office in Jammu or Srinagar. No representations or objections will be accepted after the last date.

It is important for candidates to carefully go through the e-Information Brochure, which will be made available on the BOPEE website before the commencement of online counseling. The schedule for online counseling will be notified separately on the website.

The candidatures of some candidates were rejected due to their NEET-PG 2023 scores falling below the cut-off score fixed by the NBE.

The BOPEE retains the right to make any changes or corrections based on documentary evidence.

Candidates are reminded that they are personally responsible for submitting/uploading accurate information and documents. Any false or wrong information discovered at any point will render the candidate ineligible for admission, and their candidature will be canceled ab-initio without further notice.
