Online Applications for Departmental Examinations

The Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the following Departmental Examinations:

The examinations will be conducted in accordance with the provisions laid down in S.0.138 dated 14.03.2023 and J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examinations) Rules, 2022, as amended from time to time.Candidates who have previously applied in response to Notification No. PSC/Exam/2021/21 dated 08.03.2021 are not required to apply again. However, they are expected to appear in the aforementioned examination as per the provisions laid down in S.0.138 dated 14.03.2023.For further information and to apply online, interested candidates are advised to visit the official website of the J&K Public Service Commission. The application process will be open from [start date] to [end date]. It is essential to carefully read and follow the instructions provided on the website during the application submission.

Candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria specified for each examination before applying. Any incomplete or incorrect applications will be liable for rejection. The Commission reserves the right to verify the eligibility of candidates and take appropriate action if any discrepancy is found.The schedule for the examinations, including the date, time, and venue, will be communicated to the eligible candidates in due course. It is the responsibility of the candidates to regularly check the official website and their registered email address for updates and notifications regarding the examinations.

Attention all candidates!
The Application Form for the Departmental Examinations will be available on the official website of the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (www.jkpsc.nic.in) starting from 02.06.2023.
Instructions
- Thoroughly read and understand the provided instructions before filling out the online Application Form.
- Familiarize yourself with all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the examination. Ensure you meet all the eligibility requirements before proceeding with the application.
Important Dates
Last date for submission of online Application Form and required fee (to be paid online only): 01.07.2023.
Submission of hard copy of the downloaded online application form and the Eligibility Certificate:
- In person or via registered/speed post.
- At the Office of the Public Service Commission located at Reshamgarh Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, or Solina, Srinagar, depending on the case.
- On or before 09.07.2023.

Examination Fee:

Upon successful submission of the online application form, candidates are required to pay the examination fee through online mode only. The fee is Rs. 400/- per paper and can be paid in the "Submitted Applications" Menu.

Centre of Examination:

i. The examination will be conducted at two locations: J&K PSC Examination Hall, Srinagar, and J&K PSC Examination Hall, Jammu.

ii. The allocation of examination centers will be solely at the discretion of the Commission. Once a center is allotted to a candidate, requests for a change of center will not be entertained. The Commission will not respond to any requests for a change of center.

Note:

  • During the process of filling the Online Application Form, candidates must carefully indicate their choice for the examination center, whether it is Jammu or Srinagar. Additionally, they should specify the papers in which they wish to appear for the examination.

Here are the necessary instructions for filling up the online applications in table format:

a) Candidates must apply online through the Commission's website at http://www.jkpsc.nic.in. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.
b) Candidates should visit the JKPSC website www.jkpsc.nic.in and click on the link "One Time Registration" or login if they have already created a profile.
c) After logging in, candidates must complete the One Time Registration (OTR) by providing personal information, contact information, educational qualification, and service details.
d) Candidates need to upload a recent passport size color photograph with a date stamp and a signature. The photograph should be taken after 01.01.2021.
e) The size of the photograph (passport size) and signature should be between 10kB to 20kB in *.jpeg or *.jpg format.
f) Before applying for the post, candidates should check the eligibility conditions mentioned in the advertisement notification.
g) Click on "show examination" for the respective post/examination you wish to apply for.
h) A window will appear showing the month of the advertisement notification. Click on the link(s) for the post(s) that appear on the screen.
i) Click on the "APPLY" button against the respective post for which you are eligible.
j) Read the instructions carefully before clicking on the "APPLY" button at the bottom of the webpage.
k) After clicking on "APPLY" button, verify the details filled in your OTR account and complete the remaining required fields in the application form. Accept the declaration.
l) Once satisfied with the correctness of the filled-in details, click on the "SUBMIT" button to finally submit the data. Note that details once submitted cannot be edited.
m) After submitting the basic details, pay the online fee and upload the required documents for the final submission of the online application form.
n) Pay the fee through online mode in the "SUBMITTED APPLICATIONS" menu in your account.
o) After successful payment, the fee status will be reflected on the online application form. You can check the fee status by clicking on the Print Application Button in the submitted Applications menu. If there is any issue with the payment status, contact the JKPSC office immediately for clarification.
p) You can print the submitted application form only after the payment of the requisite fee.
q) Submit the hard copy of the online application form (with fee payment details) along with the required documents at the Commission's office in Jammu or Srinagar, or through the portal service in a registered cover (if applicable) before the specified cut-off dates. Note that this is the only valid procedure for applying, and any other mode or incomplete applications will be rejected.

Action Against Candidates Found Guilty of Misconduct:
Candidates are advised not to furnish false particulars or suppress any material information during the application process.
While submitting the hard copy of the application, candidates are strictly warned against altering or tampering with any document or its attested/certified copy, or submitting fabricated documents.
If there is any inaccuracy or discrepancy between multiple documents or their attested/certified copies, an explanation should be provided regarding the discrepancy.
A candidate who is declared guilty by the Commission of any of the following misconducts shall face the following consequences:
- Obtaining support for candidature through wrongful means
- Impersonation or procuring impersonation by any person
- Submitting fabricated or tampered documents
- Making false or incorrect statements, or suppressing material information
- Engaging in irregular or improper means during the selection process
- Using unfair means during the test
- Writing irrelevant or obscene language or content in the script(s)
- Misbehaving in the examination hall
- Harassing or causing bodily harm to the Commission's staff
- Attempting or abetting the commission of the above acts
In addition to potential criminal prosecution, the guilty candidate may be subjected to the following actions:
(a) Debarment by the Commission from appearing in the examination
(b) Permanent or specified period debarment from future examinations
