Result/Scoresheet of candidates in the Computer Based Written Test (CBTI) for the Posts of Sub Inspector, Home Department
Introduction
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) recently conducted a Computer Based Written Test (CBT) for the recruitment of Sub Inspectors in the Home Department, UT Cadre. This examination was advertised under Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2021, item No. 668, and took place from December 7, 2022, to December 20, 2022.

The final answer key for the Computer Based Written Test (CBT) was finalized and notified under No. JKSSB-COE0EXAM(UD/54/2022-03 (7057013)), dated November 3, 2023.
NCC Certificate Additional Marks
In accordance with the provisions of S.O. 290 of 2021 issued by the Home Department, J&K Government, and the addendum to Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2021, dated October 21, 2021, issued under No. SSB/Secy/Advt. No./2021/7527-42, dated November 5, 2021, candidates possessing National Cadet Corps (NCC) certificates were awarded additional marks as follows:
- 5% of the maximum marks of the examination for NCC "C" certificate holders.
- 3% of the maximum marks of the examination for NCC "B" certificate holders.
- 2% of the maximum marks of the examination for NCC "A" certificate holders.
Hon'ble Central Administrative Tribunal
Certain candidates approached the Hon'ble Central Administrative Tribunal through the medium of O.A./1855/2021, titled Vikram Kumar & Others V/s Union of Territory of J&K & Others, with the plea to prescribe the upper-age limit as 33 years for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspectors, advertised by J&K Services Selection Board in Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2021, dated October 21, 2021.
The Hon'ble Central Administrative Tribunal, while considering the matter on December 17, 2021, directed that the application forms of the applicants be accepted until December 18, 2021. The applicants were also permitted to participate in the selection process at their own cost and risk. However, the result of these applicants shall not be declared until further orders from the Tribunal.
Result/Scoresheet Notification
In compliance with the above-mentioned directions of the Hon'ble Tribunal, the result/scoresheet based on the performance of candidates who appeared in the Computer Based Written Test (CBT) for the posts of Sub Inspector, UT Cadre, advertised under Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2021, under Item No. 668, from December 7, 2022, to December 20, 2022, is hereby notified as Annexure “A.” The score/result in respect of candidates figuring in Annexure “B” has been withheld by the Board.

Mere inclusion in the result/scoresheet does not automatically entitle a candidate to be shortlisted for further stages of selection. Candidates must fulfill other eligibility conditions as laid down, and the decision of the Board in this regard shall be final.

The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) will call candidates falling in the consideration zone, based on the merit obtained by them, for the Physical Standard Test / Physical Endurance Test. The schedule for these tests will be notified separately.

The additional marks awarded to the candidates claiming to possess NCC certificates will be subject to verification.
