Important Announcement from University of Jammu: Allotment of Departments for Open Elective and Offering of Online Elective Course 2023

 University of Jammu has official announced the allotment of departments for the Open Elective and the offering of an Online Elective Course. The allotment of departments has been made based on the Average SGPA of the 1st and 2nd Semesters, percentage of UG, and preferences of the applicants as given in the Application Form. The allotment lists have been uploaded on the University website.

All Heads of Departments are responsible for ensuring that all students of their department are admitted to the allotted department as soon as possible and positively by April 12, 2023. The class work for the 4th Semester Open Elective will commence on April 13, 2023, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am (All Working Days).

The University is also offering an Online Elective Course entitled "Deendayal Upadhyaya and Philosophy of Humanism & Development." This course is an exception and only for Offsite Campuses and Affiliated Govt./Pvt. PG Colleges. Students of Offsite Campuses/Affiliated PG Colleges can opt for this course in the 4th Semester in addition to MOOCs through SWAYAM portal as notified vide No:DAA/23/8236-75 dated 27/03/2023. Rectors/Directors/Principals may forward the details of interested students to the Office of the Dean Academic Affairs by April 12, 2023.

It is important to note that the examinations for both Open Elective and Online Elective courses will be held offline, as mentioned in Notification No.F.Acd/II/23/101-180 dated 06-04-2023. Students are advised to refer to this notification for further details.
