Shortlisting of candidates for Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2022.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted the Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2022 from 10.01.2023 to 13.02.2023 in the Computer-Based Mode for the recruitment of candidates for the positions of Constable (GD), Rifleman (GD), and Sepoy in the following forces and organizations:

  1. Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs): This includes the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and National Investigation Agency (NIA). The CAPFs are responsible for maintaining internal security and guarding India's borders.

  2. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): This is a paramilitary force responsible for guarding India's borders with Nepal and Bhutan.

  3. Assam Rifles: This is a paramilitary force responsible for maintaining law and order in the North Eastern region of India.

  4. Narcotics Control Bureau: This is a central agency responsible for enforcing India's drug laws.

The examination was conducted to shortlist candidates for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), which are the next stages in the recruitment process. The PET and PST will assess the physical fitness of the candidates, including their height, weight, chest measurements, and endurance.

 

Information
Cut-off marks for shortlisting candidates for PET/PST based on     category:                                                                                                       
i. UR: 30%
ii. OBC/ EWS: 25%
iii. All other categories (SC, ST, ESM): 20%
Marks scored by candidates in CBE have been normalized using formula from Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019  
Incentive marks granted provisionally for NCC Certificate holders:  
a) NCC ‘C’ Certificate: 5% of max marks (i.e. 8 marks)
b) NCC ‘B’ Certificate: 3% of max marks (i.e. 4.8 marks)
c) NCC ‘A’ Certificate: 2% of max marks (i.e. 3.2 marks)
NCC bonus marks not awarded to Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates
